My marketing portfolio is now live on Prezi and accessible to the site’s thousands of frequent visitors. You can view the presentation here.
Throughout my career, I have created marketing materials for companies in diverse industries: from real estate to entertainment, from retail to childcare services, from massage parlors to law firms and beyond. Oh yes, and I have made stuff for my own entrepreneurial ventures, of course.
What started as a fun project grew into a viable career path. One day, I decided to create a visual representation of my business experience. I started gathering materials from marketing projects I had completed over the years. Pretty soon these collections formed a rather impressive portfolio, which you can explore below.
I began creating marketing materials to help get the word out for an environmental club I founded in high school. My next objective was to create ads to help me sell grapefruit to raise money for the New Canaan High School Madrigal Ensemble. Every so often since that time, I would help my entrepreneur friends promote their businesses as well.
Over the years, I have created pamphlets, print advertisements, company letters, videos, and other marketing materials for nearly every company I have worked for.
You always hear people say that your true passion finds you, but I never really believed that. My problem has always been having so many interests that seem to have nothing to do with one another. At times it would leave me feeling exasperated, like I’d never find my true calling in life.
But as I compiled my marketing portfolio, I began to change my mind. I realized that the common thread running through all my ventures and seemingly disjointed business undertakings was marketing.
Aha! Perhaps my true passion did find me after all. I never really set out to be a marketer. It just sort of happened.
For others who are seeking their true passions, I simply suggest to get out there, get involved with stuff that interests you, and you’ll figure it out eventually. And of course, don’t forget to be patient. These important discoveries take time—sometimes years.
